We are looking for a Quality Engineer as a new position to strengthen quality control and assurance within the company and externally.\n\nJOB TYPE & BENEFITS\nFull-time\n\nFirst Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm\n\n$60k to 70k+/yr depending on experience.\n\nPaid holidays and paid vacation time\n\nMedical, Dental, Life, Aflac and Simple IRA retirement plan with 3% match (after 90 days)\n\nPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\n4 year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent engineering experience\n\n0-1 years of precision measuring experience (job-shop environment preferred)\n\nMust be able to create control plans off machining print, including GD&T\n\nMust be able to write and communicate verbally professionally\n\nSKILLS REQUIRED\n\nBlueprint reading – Must be able to identify physical features from print, associated tolerances, and determine which quality tools to use to measure for the accuracy needed\n\nGD&T – Must understand GD&T principles and how to apply to control plan creation.\n\nAbility to use and train others on the following – Micrometers, calipers, gage pins, gage blocks, dial indicators, surface plate, optical comparator, etc\n\nHigh proficiency of technical communication via email, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office tools (40 wpm+ typing required)\n\nAbility to work within AS9100 requirements and through a digital ERP system.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nPerform in-process QC inspections using check print (part drawing) and record on dimensional inspection report.\n\nPerform first article and first piece inspections to kick off production runs\n\nPerform sampling of production runs on the floor to ensure adherence to the control plan\n\nSet-up operator check prints, operator inspection sheets and associated gaging at the workstations\n\nCoach operators to perform operator checks\n\nPerform supplier verification checks as needed by different outsourcing processes.\n\nAssist in maintaining proper calibration records and physical/digital organization of QC instruments\n\nAssist in lasering, assembly, or other final processing of jobs\n\nPerform final visual inspection of work orders before shipping.\n\nProactively manage daily workload to eliminate any Quality bottlenecks.\n\nWork within ISO9000 / AS9100 Quality Management System\n\nREQUIRED\n\nAlignment with our core values: PROFESSIONALS you can TRUST who are MOTIVATED by TEAMWORK\n\nDESIRED ATTRIBUTES\nStrong work ethic\n\nAble to manage multiple priorities.\n\nWillingness to be exposed to moderate levels of dust, dirt, oil, grease, fumes, odors, noise and solvent\n\nWillingness to flow to finishing work as needed (part debur, part washing, final inspection, packaging)\n\nAbout PROSPER-TECH MACHINE & TOOL LLC\nProsper-tech is a family owned (~40 people) CNC machining service provider for the medical device, aerospace, and defense industries.
