Education A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited institution is required. Certifications State licensure as a Physical Therapist is necessary. Certification in CPR is preferable. Specialized certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) are welcomed but not mandatory.
