Join GDIT as a Cloud Principal Systems Administrator and build an impactful career in enterprise IT, collaborating with people who are driven and resourceful like you.\n\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers in the Azure Government cloud\n\n• Handle system configuration, patch management, and troubleshooting to ensure\n\nhigh availability and security of all VMs and services\n\n• Administer user and service accounts for cleared personnel\n\n• Manage access permissions according to the least privilege principles\n\n• Integrate systems with Azure Active Directory or on-prem AD for centralized identity\n\nmanagement and multi-factor authentication\n\n• Perform regular system updates and security patches\n\n• Validate that all system changes meet compliance requirements (applying DISA\n\nSTIGs or hardening guidelines to each server)\n\n• Utilize automation tools like Ansible or PowerShell scripts to streamline repetitive\n\nadmin tasks (provisioning new servers, configuring roles/features, or backing up\n\nsystem configurations)\n\n• Monitor system performance, CPU, memory, disk usage and event logs via Azure\n\nMonitor or custom scripts\n\n• Respond to alerts and conduct root cause analysis for any downtime or\n\nperformance degradation\n\n• Maintain data backups and recovery procedures for critical systems\n\n• Periodically test restore processes to ensure COOP and disaster recovery objectives\n\ncan be met\n\n• Evaluate and recommend available database management system (DBMS)\n\nproducts\n\n• Address all vulnerabilities identified via system scanningQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nEducation:\n\n• Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree, or equivalent experience\n\n• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field (or equivalent professional\n\nexperience) is preferred\n\nExperience:\n\n• 3+ years of related experience required\n\n• 10+ years of related experience preferred, with at least 5+ years of preferred\n\nexperience in database and data management\n\nRequired Skills:\n\n• Senior Level system administrator skills required in Linux/Windows environments\n\n• Experience using Azure Active Directory\n\n• Experience using Azure Monitor\n\n• Advanced knowledge using Ansible or PowerShell scripts\n\n• Extensive experience in database architecture, design, and processing models.\n\n• Extensive experience with data architecture, modeling, and management in a broad\n\nspectrum of data repository environments, such as data warehouse, on-line\n\ntransaction processing and hybrid\n\n• Knowledge and experience working with data migration from di]erent database\n\nsystems to updated modern systems\n\n• Current and practical experience using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL\n\nDeveloper, MSSQL\n\n• Strong HTML, CSS, AJAX, and JSON experience\n\n• RDBMS modeling, Data Integrity, SQL Developer/TOAD\n\n• PowerShell Scripting\n\nRequired Certification(s):• CompTia Security+ required to satisfy DoD 8570.01M requirements for IAT Level II\n\n• Other work-dependent certifications a plus\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\n• Extensive knowledge of Azure Cloud services and database management in cloud\n\nenvironments\n\n• Familiarity with Cloud based Database systems\n\n• Experience using MS Visio for updating diagrams\n\n• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments\n\n• Experience working in Federal or State government environments\n\n• Ability to work independently and remotely\n\nCLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:\n\n• Must possess active Secret or higher clearance and maintain as a condition of\n\nemployment\n\n• US Citizenship Required\n\nLOCATION:\n\n• Hybrid in Washington, D.C.; on-site work at least three days a week at customer\n\nlocation will be required\n\nOWN YOUR OPPORTUNITY\nExplore an enterprise IT career at GDIT and you’ll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your desire to drive operations forward.\n\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n\n8 + years of related experience\n\n* may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\n\nCertification\n\nTravel Required\n\nLess than 10%\n\nCitizenship\n\nU.S. Citizenship Required\n\nSalary and Benefit Information\n\nThe likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000.
