We operate a partnership-first model: cashless equity rollover, a House of Brands approach, and preserved local OpCo identities. We're building the consolidated back office - finance, payroll, HR, and insurance - that lets each acquired roofer scale without losing what makes it work.\r\nThe Role\r\nThe Controller is responsible for the day-to-day execution of accounting across the platform: month-end close, financial reporting, multi-entity consolidations, and the hands-on work of integrating newly acquired businesses into the platform's systems and controls.\r\nThis is a build role. The accounting infrastructure is being stood up now. You will be executing the close, building out the chart of accounts, and running the integration accounting for each new acquisition as it comes in - working directly with the founder, CFO and integrations team.\r\nWhat You'll Own\r\nMonth-end close across the platform and every OpCo\r\nConsolidated financial reporting under US GAAP\r\nMulti-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations\r\nChart of accounts standardization across acquired roofers\r\nAccounting systems implementation and maintenance (GL platform, AP automation, payroll integration)\r\nInternal controls and audit-readiness\r\nAccounting integration for each new acquisition: COA conversion, system migration, and controls onboarding\r\nWorking capital, debt schedule, and net debt reporting\r\nSupport for the external audit relationship\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\n5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a Controller or senior accountant role\r\nMulti-entity or consolidations experience\r\nHands-on experience with at least one accounting system (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar)\r\nSolid technical accounting under US GAAP\r\nComfortable executing independently in a small-team environment\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nCPA (active or inactive)\r\nConstruction or trades industry experience\r\nExperience supporting an acquisition or system migration\r\nPrior experience at a company doing active M&A\r\nFamiliarity with intercompany eliminations and rollup reporting\r\nCompensation & Location\r\nCompetitive base salary, performance bonus, and full benefits.
