Senior L3/L4 Network Engineer Support Systems
Senior Network EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong Layer 3 and Layer 4 support expertise to manage, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. The candidate will play a critical role in resolving complex networking issues, optimizing network performance, and ensuring high availability of enterprise systems. The role requires strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, TCP/UDP traffic analysis, firewall management, and load balancer configurations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 3 and Level 4 network support for enterprise infrastructure.Troubleshoot complex issues related to routing, switching, and network connectivity.Diagnose and resolve TCP/UDP traffic issues and application connectivity problems.Perform packet capture and analysis using tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump.Network Infrastructure ManagementManage and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, NAT, VPN, subnetting, and MPLS networks.Support LAN/WAN environments and enterprise network architecture.Routing & Network ProtocolsConfigure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols such as:BGPOSPFEIGRPEnsure optimal routing and network stability.Security & ConnectivityManage firewall configurations and troubleshoot security-related network issues.Work with VPN technologies and secure network connectivity.Ensure adherence to network security policies and compliance standards.Performance Monitoring & OptimizationMonitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.Implement improvements to enhance network reliability, scalability, and performance.Support network upgrades, patching, and infrastructure enhancements.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentalsExpertise in Layer 3 and Layer 4 troubleshootingExperience with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRPStrong understanding of network technologies: VLAN, NAT, VPN, MPLSHands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper networking devicesExperience with firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASAExperience with load balancers such as F5 or Citrix NetscalerStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsPreferred SkillsCertifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certificationsExperience with network monitoring tools and performance analysisExposure to cloud networking (AWS / Azure / GCP)Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise incident managementTop ResponsibilitiesProvide L3/L4 network support for complex enterprise network environments.Troubleshoot routing, switching, and TCP/UDP connectivity issues.Manage and maintain network devices, firewalls, and load balancers.
