As a Senior Applications Programmer, you will be entrusted with technical oversight and guidance for the development, maintenance, and support of software applications.\nThis is a hybrid role with work performed remotely and occasionally onsite in the District of Columbia (D.C.) area or at the Weris corporate headquarters located in Sterling, VA.\n\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\nCollaborating on new software development initiatives as directed by the Systems Division.\nLeading all aspects of software development, including project initiation documentation, gathering and documenting requirements, software design, software development, testing, training, and implementation.\nOffering technical leadership, oversight, and direction for the software development of both new and existing applications.\nProviding maintenance support for existing applications, including software enhancements, bug fixes, and associated documentation.\nMaintaining accurate documentation of application architecture, design, configuration, and processes to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.\n\nQualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or related field.
