Our team uses Natural Environment Teaching, community involvement, movement, play and social experiences to help neurodivergent clients build skills they can use in their everyday lives.\nDepending on the client, your session might include:\nPlaying basketball or going for a walk\nPracticing ordering at a restaurant\nCompleting a workout or wellness activity\nPlaying games that build communication and flexibility\nVisiting a store and practicing money or shopping skills\nParticipating in a structured social-skills activity\nExploring hobbies and age-appropriate leisure activities\nPracticing self-advocacy, independence and real-world problem-solving\nThe activities are fun, but they are also intentional, individualized and clinically meaningful. Wellness and recreational activities are incorporated only when clinically appropriate and included in the client’s treatment plan.\nWhat Is a Float RBT?\nFloat RBTs provide temporary and supplemental coverage across The Progress Lab’s client teams. This may include:\nCovering planned employee absences\nProviding coverage when a regular technician calls out\nSupporting new client starts\nFilling temporary gaps while a permanent technician is being hired or credentialed\nAssisting with social-skills programs and community activities\nProviding additional support during schedule changes or transitions\nTransitioning into a permanent client assignment when an appropriate opportunity becomes available\nThis is a variable-hours position rather than a fixed weekly caseload. Weekly hours will depend on client needs, employee absences, new client starts and the availability you provide.\nFloat RBTs are not required to remain on call. You will provide your availability in advance and will only be expected to work assignments you have accepted or that have been scheduled within your established availability.\nYou will receive client-specific training before covering a case. Being a float does not mean entering an unfamiliar session without preparation or clinical support.\nWho We Serve\nThe Progress Lab primarily supports school-aged children and teens, with a particular focus on middle and high school clients.
