This lab will be where new and enhanced tech solutions for store ordering, inventory management and retail applications will be tested to ensure they are properly vetted for release in WFM stores. This position will need to be able to execute basic store processes for all teams in the store including ordering, stocking, production, shrink and quality inspection. All positions must be able to work on a team that has constant shift in duties as well as is constantly testing WFM technology innovations. All positions must strive to support WFM core values and goals, promote national programs and initiatives, and ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations including Food Safety and regulatory duties required in the department. All Whole Foods Market Retail jobs require ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.\n\nKey job responsibilities\nHas or can build a working knowledge of all team level operations and process including but not limited to: all ordering, inventory management and retail application tools.\n\nEnsures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.\n\nCompletes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.\n\nAssists with periodic inventory checks.\n\nArrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings\nand meetings.\n\nFollows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe\nwork practices.\n\nMaintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with WFM\ncleanliness and safety standards.\n\nPerforms opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.\n\nExecutes basic production needs to ensure product packed in house is in-stock.\n\nImmediately reports safety hazards and violations.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned by lab and Global leadership.\n\nUnderstands retail, grocery experience, and common software and networking infrastructure.\n\nGuarantees all lab resources follow WFM’s lab standards and guidelines.\n\nActively contributes to a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect and exceptional morale.\n\nExecute all SOPs in a precise manner and provide critical feedback on the experience provided by the SOP\n\nRegularly inspect the store to ensure compliance with all programs, rules and standards.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nStrong organizational skills.\n\nAbility to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.\n\nAbility to multi-task, show excellent follow-through and see the big picture.\n\nExcellent interpersonal, motivational, team building and leadership skills.\n\nHigh energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy.\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\n\n- 3+ years of program or project management experience\n- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements\n- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams\n- Able to receive direction and execute testing with new tools and SOPs.\n- Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products and carried in department.\n- Ability to learn all basic operational processes in all store departments.\n- Operates effectively in a fast-paced cross-functional environment to drive clear outcome and results.\n- Contributes to local / regional strategy development and ensures appropriate team focus and alignment.\n- Ability to order and stock product.\n- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.\n- Ability to follow SOPs.\n- Strong attention to detail.\n- Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.\n- Education & Experience\n- 12+ months retail or similar experience.
