We help effectively match the right technology professional to their organization, recruiting for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct roles.\nOur client in Mitchellville, MD has an immediate need for a Sr. Network /Systems Administrator to join their team.\n*** Please note that this is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity with our client and NOT with Core BTS.\nPosition Summary\nIn collaboration with the Director of Information Technology and Innovation team, the Senior Network/Systems Administrator will support the strategic direction and the design of technology, infrastructure, software, communications, and networking systems, including the implementation and integration of external and internal business processing systems and applications across the community. The role monitors and maintains computerized management information systems by performing computer hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, security patch updates, and configurations as needed. Additionally, diagnose and resolve any hardware, software, networking, or system issues that arise, as well as replace and upgrade any defective or outdated components. The Senior Network Administrator will ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity, and availability of computing systems to provide the users with the technology tools they need to perform their work in an efficient manner.\nAdditionally, the Senior Network/Systems Administrator will identify needs and help support the tech concierge in coordinating and using computer applications with the organization. The Administrator responds to the organizations requests in a manner that delivers exceptional customer service and guides the escalation and resolution of IT questions, issues, and requests to the appropriate channels.\nEssential Functions\nProvide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, including configuring, managing, and monitoring storage systems.\nAssist with designing and maintaining data and information management processes to ensure consistency, integrity, and security.\nProvide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the team members and resident/server/storage/network devices.\nSupport and configure audio/video conferencing, video monitoring, and security systems.\nMake recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.\nDevelop and monitor systems, network, and security policies and standards.\nDevelop practical and workable solutions to support the tech concierge in resolving technical issues.\nAnalyze requirements and potential solutions for technical and economic feasibility.\nEstablish, manage, and assist in system and user documentation, including departmental procedures and project work.\nAssist in the analysis, design, and development of new technology.\nAssist with designing and testing network models and identify, recommend, and implement alternative approaches when required.\nMaintain and monitor the backup and disaster recovery solutions in collaboration with the IT system.\nSet up detailed user access control and system security at the object level.\nMaintain up-to-date system documentation for all responsible systems.\nSupport project implementations, installations, and technical systems through research, operational monitoring, and working with vendors as directed.\nManage technology assets, including, but not limited to, desktop and laptop computers, monitors, printers, peripheral devices, and software.\nAssist with the discovery of technology (old and new) related to medical industry field, including research, testing, and implementation as necessary to achieve organizational goals.\nOptimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.\nProvide detailed analysis and feedback to the tech concierge for escalated tickets.\nAdministrative tasks including but not limited to successfully completing compliance training and other required tasks.\nCollaborate with IT Staff on security, desktop support tools, service desk, and architecture-related concerns.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nDemonstrated in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.\nThorough understanding of network protocols.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\nDetail-oriented and self-motivated.\nAbility to be proactive and able to take direction and establish ownership of projects.\nStrong customer service skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to multi-task – a sense of urgency\nAbility to work collaboratively as well as independently in a fast-paced environment.\nProven experience independently researching, planning, presenting, implementing, and maintaining substantial IT infrastructure solutions.\nEducation and Experience\nA minimum of a high school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.\nA minimum of 10 years’ professional services experience working in a similar role in the Healthcare industry environment preferred.\nA minimum of 10 years’ experience and demonstrated working knowledge of standard horizontal software applications (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Active Directory) and operating environments (Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Server versions 2008-2019, VMware).\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
