Over the course of two years, participants will gain hands-on experience through three immersive rotations at our mine site, working alongside experienced metallurgical/mine engineers, geologists, and operations teams.\n\nThis program is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with 1-2 years of work experience seeking to build a strong foundation in mining operations, geological analysis, and/or technical project execution.\n\nThe Day to Day:\n\nDuring the program, participants will be assigned to a specific functional area: Process/ Metallurgy, Geology, or Mine Operations/ Technical Services. Participants will then rotate through 3 different parts of the business for a well-rounded understanding of SSR Mining and the industry as a whole.\n\nUpon completion of the program, participants can expect to transition into a permanent role within SSR Mining in their respective disciplines.\n\nProcess/ Metallurgy\n\nSupport daily plant operations and metallurgical troubleshooting\n\nAssist with metallurgical sampling, testing, and data analysis\n\nContribute to process optimization and recovery improvement initiatives\n\nCollaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure efficient plant performance\n\nGeology\n\nParticipate in core logging, sampling, and geological mapping\n\nAssist with resource modeling and grade control\n\nCollaborate with exploration teams on drilling programs\n\nMine Operations/ Technical Services\n\nSupport daily mine operations\n\nWork on cross-functional projects involving safety, and process improvement\n\nSupport technical reporting and data analysis\n\nEngage with maintenance and production teams to understand mine operations holistically\n\nWhat You Will Gain:\n\nExposure to multiple disciplines within mining\n\nMentorship from industry experts\n\nProfessional development workshops and networking opportunities\n\nA pathway to full-time roles in engineering, geology, metallurgy, or operations\n\nWhere You Will Work:\n\nOne of our three mine sites in North America with the opportunity to meet with participants from across the three locations.\n\nMarigold – Valmy, Nevada (Winnemucca/Battle Mountain area)\n\nCC&V – Cripple Creek, Colorado\n\nSeabee – Saskatoon, Canada (fly in, fly out site)\n\nIs this You?\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mining/Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, Mine Process disciplines, or a related field\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities\n\nWillingness to work in a remote mine site environment\n\nPassion for the mining industry and a desire to learn\n\nPermanent work authorization within the US or Canada\n\nFor applicants residing in Colorado, USA, the salary range for this role is from $85,000 to $95,000.
