We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Electrical Engineer within our Pasadena PVC Plant located in Pasadena, TX.\n\nEssential Job Duties:\nMaintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products as our highest priority.\nImplements the Electrical Distribution System Maintenance program in accordance with company guidelines, codes, and governmental regulations.\nDevelops, updates and tracks action plans pertaining to program tasks and overall electrical distribution system maintenance.\nProvides on-going reporting of program activity status to plant management.\nArranges for contract services support for program related activities as required.\nReviews facility electrical maintenance activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to all specifications, codes and standards.\nPerforms formal and informal audits of the program elements to ensure compliance to all applicable codes and standards.\nMaintains current knowledge of company/government rules and regulations.\nEvaluates capital project scopes and vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.\nAssists with troubleshooting of plant electrical maintenance issues to ensure continued plant operability.\nConducts failure mode analyses to identify units posing excessive failure risks and supports proposed changes in design.\nAssists in the training/coaching of hourly personnel in repairs and preventative maintenance.\nEnsures Process Safety and Risk management objectives are practiced daily through participation in Management of Change, Process Hazards Analysis, Process Safety Hazard Hunter, and pre-startup safety review responsibilities.\nProvides Chemical Commandment training and awareness to others as the opportunity arises.\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.\nA minimum of 3 years electrical engineering experience required.\nPlant maintenance experience preferred.\nHigh proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to read, write and speak in English.\nExcellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.\nAbility to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.\nPhysical requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.
