In this role, you will also support continuous improvement initiatives across systems, reporting, and processes, helping to strengthen project governance and financial transparency in a growing international environment.\r\nWhat does Element Logic offer?\r\nInnovative and creative workplace in a growing business.\r\nFamily-first culture with a key focus on mental wellness.\r\nFlexibility is offered through a hybrid work approach for all roles that can be performed remotely.\r\nCareer development plans.\r\nMarket competitive wages, benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, and HSA accounts.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nContinuous follow-up of all active projects in the Americas region, including:\r\nControl of project financials and working capital, including invoicing, collections, unbilled revenue, payments, cash flow, and foreign exchange exposure.\r\nMonitoring and identifying risks and opportunities related to project costs, budget overruns, revenue recognition, forecast accuracy, margin erosion, and project delivery.\r\nContributing to project profitability and operational performance through financial data, fact-based analysis, and proactive business partnering.\r\nMaintaining project forecasts, including revenue, costs, gross margin, cash flow, and backlog conversion assumptions.\r\nReviewing Estimate to Complete (ETC) assumptions with Project Managers and challenging forecast assumptions where appropriate.\r\nCommunicating closely with the project organization, acting as the financial business partner and primary link between Finance and Project Managers.\r\nActing as Finance's representative in connection with internal project kick-off, project review, and project close-out meetings.\r\nAnalyze completed projects to understand financial and operational performance and identify lessons learned, including:\r\nTurning insights from completed projects into recommendations supporting the planning, bidding, and execution of future customer projects.\r\nReviewing project budgets and financial information within ERP prior to monthly reporting and close.\r\nWork closely with Accounting during month-end close, including:\r\nMonthly assessments of project accruals, reserves, and project-related balance sheet accounts.\r\nRevenue recognition assessments and validation of project financial information.\r\nAnalysis and commentary on deviations from budget and forecast.\r\nBeing responsible for project financial reporting at month-end and providing clear explanations of variances, risks, and opportunities.\r\nIdentifying potential foreign exchange risks associated with projects and recommending appropriate mitigation actions.\r\nSupporting the Delivery organization and other departments with financial analysis, reporting, and project-related business insights.\r\nSupporting implementation of process improvements, ERP enhancements, Power BI reporting, and automation initiatives that improve project visibility, forecasting, and financial governance.\r\nDesired Skills And Experience\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.\r\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, including:\r\nProject controlling, project accounting, operational finance, FP&A, audit, consulting, or financial controlling.\r\nExperience supporting project-based businesses, preferably within automation, manufacturing, engineering, construction, systems integration, or professional services.\r\nExperience partnering directly with Project Managers and Operations leadership.\r\nSolid business understanding with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.\r\nStrong analytical skills, including:\r\nAbility to interpret and analyze financial and operational data.\r\nIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities.\r\nProvide recommendations that support decision-making and improve project profitability.\r\nExperience supporting forecasting and financial planning, including:\r\nRevenue, cost, margin, and cash flow forecasting.\r\nBacklog conversion and revenue timing analysis.\r\nEstimate to Complete (ETC) and variance analysis.\r\nGood systems expertise and strong Excel skills, including:\r\nExperience working with ERP systems and project accounting environments.\r\nGood knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power BI is an advantage.\r\nExperience supporting reporting automation and process improvements is preferred.\r\nUnderstanding of project accounting concepts, including:\r\nRevenue recognition.\r\nProject accruals and reserves.\r\nWorking capital and cash flow management.\r\nForeign exchange exposure and risk management.\r\nExperience working in an international environment is considered an advantage.\r\nLocation: Florida, US (preferred).
