Position Type:Student Support ServicesDate Posted:4/1/2026Location:Clark-Wilkins Elementary SchoolPosition OverviewClark-Wilkins Elementary School is seeking a Licensed Social Worker or Certified School Psychologist for the Specialized Emotional Behavioral Program, My Time, serving students with social emotional, and/or behavioral disabilities in grades 1-4. The Social Worker/School Psychologist will work with a multidisciplinary team of a special educator, regular educators, board-certified behavior analyst, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, and families to provide emotional and behavioral programming within the context of a public school. The social worker/school psychologist will partner with a special educator in leading the continued development of the specialized program in the implementation of evidence-based social emotional competency instruction, behavioral programming, trauma-informed practices, and crisis management.Duties and ResponsibilitiesRefinement and implementation of My Time program and individual program for social-emotional competence and behaviorDevelopment and monitoring of students' social-emotional and behavioral goalsDirect individual and group counselingCollaboration and consultation with a multidisciplinary team for social-emotional and behavioral programmingFamily and community liaison for wrap-around supports and services for students within the programSupport and development of professional development and coaching for paraprofessionals and other professional staff connected with the programRequired QualificationsLicensed/Certified Mental Health Professional, such as a Licensed Social Worker or Certified School PsychologistNHED Certification (or able to be certified) for School Social Worker (0049) or School Psychologist (0046)Three or more years of experience working with schools, in school settings, or with school-age students in a clinical or therapeutic setting.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) models of CASEL, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Zones of Regulation, and Social ThinkingExperience in Behavior and Crisis ManagementTrained in Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) or comparable strategyStrong understanding of children's developmental needs and impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)Calm and consistent leadership skillsDemonstrated commitment to a collaborative team approachStrong coordination/organizational skillsExperience working within school settingsExperience in coordinating family and community resourcesKnowledge of multi-tier systems of support (MTSS)All inquiries should be directed to:Kathleen Murphy, PrincipalClark-Wilkins Elementary School80 Boston Post Road, Amherst603.673.4411Additional information about our district, school, and community, as well as this position, is available by visiting the School Administrative Unit 39 (SAU 39) web site:www.sau39.org.
