This position is responsible for driving quality performance through customer engagement, corrective and preventive actions, audits, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.The role partners closely with Sales, Operations, and Suppliers to eliminate systemic and process-level quality issues and enhance customer satisfaction.What You’ll Be DoingServe as the primary customer-quality interface with full ownership and accountabilityDevelop strategies to facilitate quality-focused collaboration between Sales, Customers, Operations, and SuppliersLead root cause analysis and corrective action activities (SCAR, 8D, CAPA) to address nonconformances and systemic issuesTrack, trend, and analyze customer scorecards, quality KPIs, and Cost of Quality metricsEnsure customer quality requirements are clearly understood, flowed down, implemented, and sustainedParticipate in and lead customer, supplier, and internal audits; evaluate corrective actions and process improvementsDrive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality metrics, certifications, and business objectivesOrganize and lead customer quality councils, business reviews, and related engagementsSupport compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirementsWhat We’re Looking ForTypically requires a 4-year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.Proven experience, building strong customer relationships and improving customer satisfactionAerospace and Defense industry experience preferredStrong understanding of customer quality requirement flow-down and implementationExperience managing corrective actions using structured methodologies (SCAR, 8D, CAPA)Solid understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120, ANSI/ESD S20.20Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection processes preferredDemonstrated auditing experience (customer, supplier, and internal audits)Lean, Six Sigma, and CPI experience strongly preferredProficiency with quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, control plans, value stream mapping, Kaizen, root cause analysis)Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skillsAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentFlexibility to adjust priorities based on business needsWillingness to travel for audits and customer engagementsThis role will perform work covered by International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
