That's where you come in!\r\nWhat You'll Do:\r\n\r\nBuild sketches, physical prototypes, and CAD models to support packaging alignment on new product development.\r\nDrive innovation and collaboration through actively engaging in product development discussions to assess the best ways to build and test new components and problem-solve challenges for continuous product improvement.\r\nAct as a liaison between suppliers and brand owners to develop design solutions that balance product objectives, cost, quality, and sustainability regulations.\r\nCompose and lead presentations to support concept review meetings between internal and external partners.\r\nDevelop and approve die lines for manufacturing. Validate die lines across many suppliers. Fastidiously document and archive die lines and related specifications.\r\nProduce detailed technical drawings for final product specifications. Collaborate with Product Engineers and Quality Engineers to support specifications and testing standards.\r\nProactively adopt and contribute to process improvements, new tools and ways of working, skill sharing, documentation standards, and team-building.\r\nModel exemplary communication and schedule procedures to facilitate project success across teams.\r\n\r\nWhat You'll Bring:\r\n\r\nBachelor of Science in industrial design and/or packaging science or equivalent.\r\nThree years' experience or equivalent engineering packaging for mass production, including paperboard and corrugate boxes and vacuum-form shells.\r\nProficient in 3D CAD software: ArtiosCAD; Cape Pack; SolidWorks, and 2D design software: Adobe Illustrator; InDesign; Photoshop.\r\nExperience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Powerpoint.\r\nMaterials knowledge in paperboard, corrugate, films, and thermoplastics, with the ability to appropriately select materials to balance performance, aesthetic, and cost.\r\nPassionate about 3D problem-solving, working within multi-functional teams.\r\nExperience with palletization standards, related drawings and software.\r\nFamiliarity with packaging testing standards.\r\nDemonstrated ability to successfully lead multiple projects and schedules simultaneously with minimal direction.\r\nAbility to support rapid conceptualization and physical prototypes.\r\nProven experience effectively collaborating with production partners, including foreign suppliers.\r\nInterest in finding environmentally sustainable packaging solutions that support the product objectives.\r\nSome travel and lifting are required.\r\nBe a continuous learner who shares knowledge to make others better.\r\n\r\nNice to Have\r\n\r\nKnowledge of Smartsheet and Miro is desired.\r\n\r\nwizards\r\nWe are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer\r\nWizards of the Coast is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment.
