The SMR-300 project provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside innovative engineers focused on developing the next generation light water reactor to be deployed around the world.\n\nThe Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for creating the operational posture of the plant, from day-to-day evolutions and programs to accident response and control. They will assist system design engineers, I&C engineers, mechanical and simulator engineers in the development of SMR-300 systems. The Senior Operations Engineer brings valuable operability insight to the project to ensure appropriate functionality is achieved for systems. The Senior Operations Engineer will also assist human factors engineering (HFE) and human-machine interface (HMIs) teams with the development of the plant and engineering simulators.\n\nSpecific Areas of Responsibility:\nReview system documentation including P&ID and design descriptions\nProvide operability review for systems during normal and off-normal conditions\nDefine system and component maintenance requirements and approaches\nAssist system engineers in developing equipment specifications for safety valves, pressure-reducing valves, etc.\nReview engineering simulator results and assist engineers in troubleshooting simulator challenges\nAssist and review HMIs and provide operator insight\nAssist in developing operational programs, including shutdown and refueling outage operations\nAssist engineers in developing a radwaste management plan and develop equipment design requirements to handle solid radwaste operations\nAssist mechanical engineers with defueling and refueling sequences and review mechanical drawings to ensure operability during the refueling process\nSupport development of Safety Analysis Report contents and regulatory interactions\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n10+ years of Commercial Nuclear Power Plant experience, specifically pressurized water reactors (PWRs) as reactor operator or senior reactor operator\nExcellent understanding of the PWR systems and their operating conditions for all modes of operation\nEffective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents.\nStrong problem-solving and computer skills.\nEligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or in lieu of Degree, 13+ years of Commercial PWR Plant experience\n\nSalary range: $150,000.00-$180,000.00\n\nHoltec International offers a competitive benefits package to eligible associates, which includes:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) retirement plan with company match\nPaid time off and 11 Paid Holidays\nCompany-paid life and AD&D insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program\nWellness resources and voluntary benefits\nTraining and educational assistance\n\nAs a technology trailblazer and a prominent innovator in clean energy (nuclear and solar) industry, Holtec strives to foster a meritocratic work environment conducive to continuous learning and professional growth of its associates.
