The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing electrical models and simulations for various electrical systems and electrical products. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and proficiency with Matlab / Simulink simulation tools. PSCAD experience is a plus. The successful candidate will be able to work directly with customers and internal design teams to understand and define the problem statement and scope of work.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nModel Development: Develop and maintain detailed electrical models for components and systems using Matlab / Simulink simulation software.\n\nSimulation and Analysis: Conduct simulations to predict the behavior and performance of electrical systems under various conditions. Analyze results to identify potential issues and optimize designs.\n\nDesign Optimization: Collaborate with design teams to integrate simulation results into the design process. Propose design modifications based on simulation outcomes to enhance performance and reliability.\n\nValidation and Testing: Validate simulation models through experimental testing and correlation with real-world data. Ensure models are accurate and reliable by comparing simulation results with physical prototypes.\n\nCollaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.\n\nCustomer Focus: Work directly with customers and their engineering teams to solve problems through accurate models of the customer’s facility. Collaborate directly with customers to predict future performance through simulations of “what if” scenarios.\n\nDocumentation: Maintain detailed documentation of models, simulation procedures, and results. Prepare technical reports and presentations for upper management and project teams.\n\nContinuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in modeling and simulation technologies and tools.
