This role follows written and verbal instructions, product specifications, and work orders to assemble, bond, paint, identify, and inspect components while maintaining quality and safety standards. The Assembler II works independently on routine assignments and provides training and support to entry-level assemblers.Job ResponsibilitiesSet up equipment to support product identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping, and contact hooding processesWeigh, mix, and identify inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds, potting materials, and other production materialsPerform standard and special connector assembly operations according to specifications and work instructionsLoad retainers into molded plastic inserts manually or using machineryBond inserts, interface seals, grommet seals, EMI rings, and connector components according to manufacturing proceduresApply identification stamping to components and assembliesPaint components and apply paint stripe markings to contacts as requiredPrepare single and shielded wires for termination and crimp contacts to prepared wiresTerminate simple cable assemblies to connectorsLoad and operate heat-treat and annealing ovensFollow drawings, specifications, procedures, and work orders to ensure product qualityAssist in training and supporting Assembler I team membersStage materials for shipment as requiredCommunicate assembly issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality concerns to supervisionMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentInterface with customers when necessaryJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED from an accredited institutionMinimum of 1–2 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing or assembly operationsAbility to read, understand, and follow verbal instructions, product specifications, engineering drawings, and work orders in EnglishAbility to use calculators and perform basic measurements and calculationsStrong manual dexterity and ability to assemble small, intricate componentsAbility to recognize assembly issues and equipment breakdowns and communicate concerns appropriatelyAbility to work independently with limited supervisionRequired QualificationsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorshipMust reside within 50 miles of Camarillo, CA; relocation assistance is not availableMust qualify as a U.S. Person under International Traffic in Arms Regulations xaygatp (ITAR) requirements, including U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, Political Asylees, or RefugeesEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredWork Experience1–2 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing, assembly, or related production operations requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 30 poundsAbility to bend, reach, twist, and handle components and assemblies throughout the workdayAbility to use hand tools and assembly equipment safely and effectivelyGood manual dexterity for assembling small and intricate partsWork EnvironmentManufacturing and production environmentFrequent use of assembly equipment, hand tools, adhesives, paints, and related materialsRequires adherence to safety, housekeeping, and quality standards at all times#ZR
