Maintenance Supervisor

Join the team and become part of our family!POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:Lead activities of employees (on multiple shifts) engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. Ensure the execution of daily orders and project work of preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure the least amount of down time. Eliminate all causes of failure and ensure full useful life in coordination with daily maintenance. Provide technical and problem solving support for the plant and maintenance employees. Support and execute plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve key performance goals for overall maintenance performance. Ensure production schedules are met and all issues are resolved and communicated in a timely fashion.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of experienceThree plus years’ related experience in a manufacturing environmentThorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field, such as maintenance technologySolid blueprint and schematic reading skillsUnderstanding of machine repair/rebuild, hydraulic, welding, fabricating, and pipe fitting skillsProven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization both verbally and in writingDemonstrated skills in leading and participating in cross functional teamsStrong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findingsAbility to take initiative and work independentlyProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related degreeFive plus years’ related experience in a manufacturing environmentCMRP CertificationExperience supervising a maintenance department and overseeing departmental costsExperience in major capital projectsExperience with predictive maintenance technologiesFormal team and leadership training with demonstrated successKnowledge or maintaining part inventory and work ordersProficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Office productsMAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:Lead maintenance employees to ensure that production needs are metEnsure employees are trained and adhering to all safety policies and proceduresAct as a working supervisor performing maintenance activities as needed - Business specific, please update at time of postingPromote employee development through building skills, training, team building, and mentoringConduct employee performance reviews ensuring that meaningful feedback is given and goals are set to provide growth and improvementIdentify and work with outside contractorsSupervise departmental resources in order to develop and maintain a well-organized and trained service group. Support and lead 5S initiatives throughout the plantMaintain equipment and facility according to regulatory code. Coordinate repairs and projects with production and maintenance employeesPlan and obtain all necessary materials for maintenance projects. Purchase appropriate supplies to meet production requirements.
