As a Transportation Service Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring our transportation team is always safe, reliable, and ready to deliver an outstanding guest experience. Job Purpose Ensures fleet vehicles are inspected and in good repair and assists the Assistant Transportation Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) Ensures fleet vehicles are in satisfactory condition by coordinating routine inspections of vehicles, ensuring all permits and licenses are current and up to date, reviewing shuttle and special event vehicles and cart log-books for completion and accuracy, identifying when routine repairs are necessary, scheduling maintenance and repairs with appropriate personnel, following up with mechanics on repair progress and completion, ensuring proper storage and safe handling of vehicles and equipment, collaborating with detailing staff to ensure that all vehicles are clean, identifying when replacement vehicles and equipment may be needed, requesting and negotiating bids for replacements, and submitting final bids to the Assistant Transportation Manager for approval. - 40% Monitors vehicle parts and equipment use by generating and reviewing weekly repair and maintenance reports, ensuring adequate supply of parts and equipment are in stock, collaborating with the Transportation Administrative Assistant to order necessary supplies, verifying repair costs with vehicle mechanics, and ensuring maintenance and logs are completed on wheelchairs and that adequate inventory is available. - 30% Assists the Assistant Transportation Manager by monitoring valet and shuttle staff performance, making recommendations to the Assistant Transportation Manager for training and coaching, conducting team safety meetings, monitoring the integrity of valet cash out and guest payment processes and advising Transportation Manager and Assistant Transportation Manager of out of compliance behaviors. - 25% Provides team members with transportation by researching and developing effective off-site team member bus routes, collaborating with identified vendor, submitting recommendations to the Assistant Transportation Manager, and implementing approved routes. - 5% Job Specifications Education and Experience Essential High School Diploma or G.E.D. 2 years experience managing transportation and/or service-related activities Hospitality experience Desirable Gaming experience Skills and Knowledge Essential Working knowledge of vehicle compliance requirements Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, orally and in writing Ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and vendors Ability to maintain professionalism and composure Ability to perform multiple tasks and assignments Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations Ability to complete forms and documents Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions Ability to accept constructive criticism Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel Recordkeeping and organizational skills Desirable Working knowledge of transportation-related operating requirements Supervisory/Managerial Accountability: Direct: None Indirect: None
