{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"abf3d4b5efebd661fbc9fa81","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/abf3d4b5efebd661fbc9fa81","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/abf3d4b5efebd661fbc9fa81","title":"Controller","description":"Overview\n\nReporting to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible in maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of the company’s reports and statements, management of the accounting team, and management of the ERP system.\n\nDay to Day\n\nExperience: Director\nSalary: $160,000 - $175,000 per year\n\nJob Details\n-\n\nResponsibilities:\nAssist with the Monthly Closing of all entities:\n\nReconcile bank accounts monthly\nReconcile general ledger accounts and analyze for discrepancies\nRecord and reconcile credit card accounts\nMaintain bank note schedules and reconciliations\nMake AR deposits and record them in the ERP\nMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices\nAccount reconciliation reviews and resolution of aging items.\nOverseeing 3rd party claims and hull claims with insurance companies\nPerform quarterly balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis;\nReview and analyze financial data from various revenue sources\nWork with a variety of banking institutions to open accounts, order checks and setup online access\n\nJob Costing:\n\nPrepare Pre-lien filing for construction projects\nPrepare supplier lien waivers and track to ensure timely receipt\nOversee setup new jobs and ensure estimates are set up in the ERP\nFixed asset accounting\nAsset requisitions (ARs)\n\nAnnual Closing:\n\nPreparation of annual financial plans and rolling forecasts\nPreparation of financial statements and reporting to all statutory entities\nPrepare/gather materials related to construction and cost accounting matters for external auditors\nProvide assistance to the external auditors as needed\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field\n5+ years commercial construction accounting management experience\nJob costing\nWIP Reporting\nStrong ERP experience\nAbility to own and manage month end close process\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nVista by Viewpoint\nCPA\nPrior Controller experience\n\nA bit about us:\n-\n\nAfter 40+ years in business, we have established ourselves as a leader in our specialty within the commercial construction arena.
