The Process Engineeris responsible fordeveloping, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes across plastic injection molding and metal stamping operations. This role owns process capability, tooling performance, and production efficiency, working cross-functionally with Quality, Tooling, Maintenance, and Production to ensure parts are manufactured safely, on-spec, and atoptimalcost.\n\nAbout the Team:\n\nAs a member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that directly enhance our production capabilities and drive continuous improvement across our facilities. This role offers the chance to work alongside skilled professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and support the growth of a company that is a leader in safety solutions.\n\nWhat You’ll Do at Justrite:\n\nProcess Development & Optimization\n\nDesign, develop, andvalidatemanufacturing processes for injection molded plastic parts and stamped metal components (progressive dies, transfer dies, secondary operations)\nOptimize molding parameters (fill, pack, hold, cooling) and stamping parameters (tonnage, feed, die protection) to maximize quality, cycle time, and OEE\nLead DOE (Design of Experiments) studies toestablishand document robust process windows\nDevelop andmaintainprocess control plans, work instructions, and setup sheets\n\nNew Product / Program Launch\n\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) from DFM review through PPAP/production trial\nPartner with tooling engineers and toolmakers on mold/die design reviews, sampling, and tryout\nConduct capability studies (Cpk/Ppk) and first-article inspections tovalidatenew processes and tooling\nDrive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce scrap, downtime, and cycle time\nLead root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for process-related quality escapes and production issues\nIdentifyand justify capital improvement projects (automation, tooling upgrades, equipment)\n\nTooling & Equipment\n\nTroubleshoot mold, die, and press-related issues in coordination with tooling/maintenance teams\nManage preventive maintenance schedules for tooling and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime\nEvaluate and specify new equipment, tooling, and automation (robotics, EOAT, sensors)\n\nQuality & Compliance\n\nSupport PPAP, control plans, FMEA, and APQP documentation\nEnsure processescomply withIATF 16949 / ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements\nInvestigatecustomer complaints and internal nonconformances tied to process performance\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n\nTrain production operators and technicians on process parameters and standard work\nWork with Supply Chain on material specifications, resin/metal substitutions, and cost reduction\nCommunicate process status, risks, and improvement plans to plant leadership\n\nYour Skills and Expertise:\n\nTo ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:\n\nRequired: Bachelor's degree in Engineering(Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Plastics, or related discipline)\nRequired: Minimum 3 years of process engineering experience in plastics injection molding and/or metal stamping manufacturing environment\nHands-on knowledge of injection molding machine setup/troubleshooting (Cpk, scientific molding) and/or progressive/transfer die stamping presses\nExperience with capability studies, SPC, FMEA, control plans, and PPAP documentation\nProficiencywith CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for tooling/process review\nStrong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills (8D, DMAIC, 5-Why)\nWorking knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading\n\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\n\nExperience with both plastics and metal stamping processes (cross-trained background highly desirable)\nFamiliarity with automation/robotics integration and PLC basics\nExperience in automotive, appliance, or industrialcomponentmanufacturing\nWorking knowledge of IATF 16949 quality systems\n\nCompensation:\n\nActual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance.
