Food Packager Position In Klingerstown, PaDoherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a nationally known company in Klingerstown, PA. We are seeking candidates for a food packager role on the 2nd shift (nights) working from 2:45pm to 12:15am Monday through Friday. Compensation for this opportunity is $17.09 per hour.What youll do as the food packager:Sort, count, and pack frozen egg products according to customer specifications while maintaining pace with machinery and conveyor systemsOperate near ovens to prepare egg patties and/or omelets for freezingConduct quality checks on product and packaging, including case weights, using scales or computerized systemsInspect the quality of eggs for proper size, shape, color, and overall quality; remove and document any items that do not meet company or customer standardsPlace proper labels on boxesUnderstand dates, expiration and item numbersAdhere to safe work practices, follow gmps, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintainedReport any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safetyWhat you need to be the food packager:Prior manufacturing, food production, or warehouse experience preferredAbility to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds, in accordance with established ergonomic and workplace safety guidelinesAbility to use computer touch screens to start and stop lines as neededAbility to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack licenseExperience operating a pallet jack is preferredAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbersAbility to print and speak simple sentencesEffective communication skillsAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbersJoin an industry-leading team at this national company located in the Klingerstown area!For questions or additional information about the food packager role, contact us directly at 570-633-5882.
