This position requires technical involvement with equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Additionally, the role involves thorough compliance with safety standards and operational protocols. This is a fully on-site position in Blaine, MN.Hours are as follows:1st Shift = 6:00am – 2:30pm2nd Shift = 2:00pm - 10:30pm [$2/hr. shift differential]3rd Shift = 8:00pm – 6:30am [$3/hr. shift differential]Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOperationsAssist with pilot plant runs, including equipment setup, operation, data collection, and maintenanceUtilize Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems and radio communication for plant operationsCoordinate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and ensure project goals are metPerform other related duties as required and assigned by the Operations Manager of the Innovation Center. Technical ExposureAssist with troubleshooting complex mechanical and chemical processes for operational efficiencyAssist with conducting routine preventive maintenance of piloting equipmentAssemble and configure equipment for various processes, ensuring prompt functionalitySafety and ComplianceEstablish and enforce adherence to safety standards (PPE, lockout/tagout, fall protection) and regulatory requirementsMaintain a high level of housekeeping in the facility to ensure a safe working environmentCustomer InteractionAssist in generating customer reports and providing technical support. Respond promptly to requests from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and resolutionQualifications And SkillsPost-secondary degree or equivalent experience is preferredMechanical or hands-on background requiredIncreasing ability of operating and troubleshooting pilot plant equipmentRadio communication experience is preferredKnowledge of oilseed processes and mechanical systems is highly advantageousSpecial Engineer Boiler License preferred; must be able to obtainForklift Certification beneficial; must be able to obtainComputer skills: Ability to send/receive emails, timecards.
