This role involves conducting a variety of MRI exams ranging from specialized studies such as Cardiac and Breast MRI to routine brain, spine, abdomen, and extremity scans. The technologist will provide patient care and imaging services in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings, collaborating with nursing and medical staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities:Perform MRI scans according to established protocols and physician orders.Operate and maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the process and addressing concerns.Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to assist patients requiring partial or total assistance during imaging.Manage imaging workflow across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department units.Ensure accurate patient documentation and charting in EPIC system.Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.Maintain compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements. Required Skills & Certifications:Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience.Current BLS certification.ARRT certification in MRI (MR) or Interventional Technology (IT).Valid Washington State license.Ability to perform MRI exams on patients of all ages, including neonates and pediatrics.Strong communication and patient care skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications:Experience with specialized MRI studies such as Cardiac and Breast MRI.Previous experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similar acute care setting. Special Considerations:Weekend work is not required.Agency technologists may take call voluntarily but are not required to do so.Technologist will float between outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department units as needed.Scrub color restrictions: no reddish orange permitted.Exposure to patients with varying levels of mobility and acuity, from ambulatory to total assist.Facility parking costs are covered.
