Job Description Description: The A&P Technician III is a senior-level maintenance professional responsible for performing, overseeing, and ensuring the highest quality of aircraft maintenance in support of Part 135 operations. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership on the hangar floor, and the ability to mentor junior technicians while maintaining strict compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. The A&P Technician III works closely with the Maintenance Manager to support operational readiness and maintenance planning.Key ResponsibilitiesAircraft Maintenance & Technical ExecutionPerform advanced troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and alterations on turbine aircraftExecute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company proceduresDiagnose complex mechanical and avionics discrepancies with minimal supervisionEnsure all work is completed accurately and documented properly in maintenance tracking systemsConduct engine runs, taxi checks, and operational tests as requiredRegulatory Compliance & SafetyEnsure full compliance with FAA regulations, Part 135 requirements, and company manualsReview and sign off on maintenance work within certification privilegesMaintain audit-ready documentation and ensure proper logbook entriesIdentify and escalate safety concerns or compliance risks to the Maintenance ManagerLeadership & MentorshipServe as a lead technician on assigned projects or aircraftProvide guidance, training, and oversight to A&P Tech I and II team membersAct as the primary liaison between the technician team and the Maintenance Manager when neededPromote best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement within the teamOperational SupportSupport aircraft readiness for Part 135 operations, ensuring minimal downtimeCoordinate daily maintenance activities in alignment with direction from the Maintenance ManagerRespond to AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations as neededCoordinate with flight operations, scheduling, and parts departments to meet operational demandsAssist in planning and executing maintenance events efficientlyRequirements:FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) LicenseMinimum 5–7+ years of aircraft maintenance experienceStrong experience in corporate aviation / turbine aircraftWorking knowledge of Part 135 operations and regulatory requirementsProven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues independentlyValid driver's licenseMust be team oriented, self-driven and safety consciousConsistently demonstrate positive behavior and attitude.Must be goal-oriented and driven to meet and/or exceed quality maintenance actions and expectations.Possess the ability to use standard aircraft mechanics tools, equipment, and materials in the aircraft maintenance process.Must be able to work at heights to include from a 20' ladder or aerial lift.Ability to climb ladders and stairs, perform close tolerance work, work in small spaces, lift up to 70 pounds.Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends, and holidaysEfficient in the use of electronic and paper-based manuals.Ability to apply creativity and problem-solvingExcellent knowledge and proficiency with Corridor, MS Office products, CAMP, or similar software.Occasional overtime, nights, and/or weekends may be required.On-call rotation participation required.PreferredExtensive experience on Hawker and/or Citation aircraftInspection Authorization (IA) certificationAvionics troubleshooting experiencePrevious leadership or lead technician experience
