This role focuses on developing and executing simulations related to electromagnetic wave behavior, radar target interactions, and advanced signal processing algorithms. The engineer will analyze complex technical data sets and build software-based representations of radar systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and maintain physics based models of radar wave propagation, including atmospheric effects, clutter, multipath, and target interactions.\n\nBuild high fidelity target and scene models to support radar performance assessments.\n\nDesign, implement, and evaluate radar signal processing algorithms, including waveform modeling, pulse compression, Doppler processing, and detection/tracking logic.\n\nCreate kinematic models derived from flight profiles or mission scenarios to simulate target motion and sensor engagement.\n\nDevelop models for airborne, ground based, or maritime platform sensors, including radar, RF payloads, and supporting subsystems.\n\nConduct simulations to assess radar detection performance, false alarm behavior, tracking accuracy, and environmental sensitivity.\n\nAnalyze large and complex technical data sets; derive trends and performance metrics.\n\nProduce clear and compelling data visualization products to communicate analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nSupport verification and validation activities by comparing simulation outputs with test data.\n\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to refine system requirements and support design trade studies.\n\nJob Requirements\nMINIMUM SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nDepartment of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance* required at time of hire.\n\n5 years’ experience in the below areas.\n\nDemonstrated proficiency developing modeling and simulation tools, particularly using MATLAB.\n\nExperience analyzing radar or sensor related technical data sets.\n\nStrong skills in data visualization and communicating analysis results.\n\nExperience creating kinematic models from flight profiles or mission scenarios.\n\nExperience developing or integrating models for platform sensors (e.g., radar, RF systems, EO/IR sensors).\n\nUnderstanding of radar principles such as electromagnetic propagation, radar cross section (RCS), waveform design, Doppler processing, and detection theory.\n\nAbility to work with complex systems, manage multiple modeling tasks, and document results clearly.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nFamiliarity with Python, Simulink, or other analysis/simulation frameworks.\n\nExperience with digital signal processing, tracking algorithms, and sensor fusion concepts.\n\nBackground in RF engineering, electromagnetics, or aerospace systems.\n\nExperience with hardware in the loop (HIL) or software in the loop (SIL) test environments.\n\nEDUCATION\nEDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics from an accredited college or university (minimum 3.0 GPA).\n\nSALARY RANGE\nSALARY RANGE: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00\n\nBENEFITS\nBENEFITS: Envisioneering, Inc. offers a stable work environment, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401k (no vesting period), Medical/Dental/Vision, FSA, Short Term, Long Term, AD&D and Life insurance (employer paid), voluntary life, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Leave, Holidays and much more.\n\nAS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT\nAS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: You must pass a drug and pre-employment screening.
