This role administers Linux/Ubuntu, web stacks such as Apache and IIS, and application deployments using Python- and PHP-based frameworks. The Engineer also oversees cloud SQL database performance, email deliverability standards, and Python-driven eCRM integrations. This is a hands-on technical position with opportunities to influence infrastructure strategy and capacity planning.\r\nEssential Job Duties And Responsibilities\r\nCloud Infrastructure Management & Operations\r\nAdminister Azure, AWS and Digital Ocean environments including EC2, Droplets and S3\r\nMaintain Cloud database infrastructures, including performance tuning and optimization\r\nMonitor system performance, capacity, and availability across all environments\r\nImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices where practical\r\nContribute to capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades\r\nApplication Server Administration\r\nManage Apache web servers on Linux/Ubuntu systems\r\nManage Django/Flask/Python and Laravel/PHP application deployments\r\nManage WordPress CMS custom installations\r\nTroubleshoot application performance issues\r\nMaintain application server security, patches, and updates\r\nAdminister Windows IIS (Internet Information Services) web servers\r\nConfigure load balancing, SSL certificates, and routing\r\nSupport application releases implementing CI/CD pipelines where practical\r\nWork with Security Engineer to ensure configurations are PCI compliant\r\nLinux/Ubuntu Administration\r\nManage Ubuntu/Linux server configuration, patching, and updates\r\nConfigure networking, firewalls, and security policies on Linux\r\nMonitor system logs and troubleshoot issues\r\nManage package repositories and software installation\r\nCloudflare Administration\r\nManage Cloudflare DNS configuration for organizational domains\r\nConfigure Cloudflare security features (DDoS protection, WAF, bot management)\r\nImplement SSL/TLS certificates and HTTPS configurations\r\nConfigure caching policies and performance optimization\r\nMonitor Cloudflare analytics and security logs\r\nBusiness Continuity\r\nMaintain redundancy and failover mechanisms for application systems\r\nContribute to business continuity plans\r\nEnsure compliance with data retention policies\r\nEmail Deliverability\r\nMonitor email deliverability standards and sender reputation\r\nConfigure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for organizational domains\r\nMonitor email authentication compliance and investigate delivery failures\r\nManage email bounce rates, spam complaints, and blacklist issues\r\neCRM Support\r\nSupport eCRM integrations\r\nBuild and maintain Python API data extractions from our eCRM\r\nCollaboration & Support\r\nWork with Database Administrator and SQL Developer on cloud database infrastructure tasks\r\nSupport Software Engineering team on deployment requirements\r\nCoordinate with Network and Security Engineer on cloud infrastructure security and cloud networking\r\nProvide backup and escalation support for cloud infrastructure issues\r\nServe as backup for tech support staff to handle end user requests when needed\r\nMaintain cloud infrastructure documentation and procedures\r\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned\r\nEssential Qualifications And Skills\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or combination of equivalent experience\r\n5+ years of experience with Linux/Ubuntu server administration\r\n4+ years of experience managing cloud platforms (AWS EC2, Azure, Digital Ocean, or equivalent)\r\n4+ years of experience with SQL relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, Azure SQL or equivalent)\r\n3+ years of experience with web server administration (IIS, Apache)\r\n3+ years of experience with Python scripting for automation and system administration\r\nFamiliarity with PHP scripting or Powershell\r\nFamiliarity with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration\r\nFamiliarity with eCRMs and email deliverability\r\nExposure to application deployment environments (Django, Flask, Laravel, or similar frameworks)\r\nExposure to CDN and DNS management (Cloudflare preferred)\r\nAbility to work both independently and in a team environment\r\nAbility to work 40+ hours per week\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nThis job operates in a casual office or home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and mobile communication devices. It is a full-time US-based, remote position. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in a US time zone. Extended hours and weekends may be required to meet Center needs.
