This position supports project management and field operations through accurate documentation, technical coordination, and quality control. The Field Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within specifications.Key Responsibilities:Assist with project layout, surveying, and daily quantity trackingInterpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings to support field crewsMonitor and document daily work activities, materials, and production quantitiesCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to maintain project schedule and qualitySupport the development of work plans, lift drawings, and field engineering calculationsVerify field measurements and assist with pay applications and change order documentationEnsure compliance with safety and environmental regulations at all timesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)1-3 years of experience in heavy civil construction (internships or co-ops considered)Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with GPS and survey equipment a plusStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work outdoors and travel to project sites as neededFor additional information on this opportunity, please contact Josh Vaughan directly at 605-846-8457.
