This individual will perform repairs of small engines, primarily lawn and garden equipment (mowers, chain saws, handhelds, etc.). Independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance. Must be able to read illustrated parts and maintenance manuals and be safety conscious.\n\nThe ideal applicant has a minimum of one to three years’ experience in small engine repair.\n\nDuties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\nReconditions and repairs small equipment and components correctly and efficiently.\nMaintains complete and detailed working records for time, parts, supplies for repairs for invoicing.\nAccurately capture all product information including serial number, model number and other required information for the proper filing of warranty claims.\nMaintains and cares for shop tools and all company equipment.\nMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.\nInteracts with customers and co-workers on a daily basis.\nClean repaired units prior to moving them to the outbound area for delivery.\nLook up parts via computer and retrieve parts from parts shelves when needed.\nMechanical/technical aptitude, safe work habits, a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
