Healthy Living Coordinator

Staff are encouraged to model healthy lifestyles and build positive relationships with members and participants.Role Description The Healthy Living Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role based in Stevens Point, WI. This role supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of health and wellness programs, such as group exercise classes, wellness coaching sessions, health education workshops, and special events. The coordinator assists in scheduling and supporting instructors, welcoming and engaging participants, and ensuring programs run safely and on time. Responsibilities include tracking attendance and basic outcomes, maintaining clean and organized program spaces, and helping members navigate wellness offerings that match their goals. The Healthy Living Coordinator also collaborates with other YMCA staff to promote programs, uphold YMCA policies, and create an inclusive, encouraging environment for all participants.Qualifications Experience or strong interest in health, wellness, fitness, or related fields (e.g., group exercise, personal training, health education, or community health).Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, both in person and in writing.Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to coordinate schedules, manage multiple tasks, and follow through on commitments.Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on creating welcoming, inclusive, and supportive experiences for members and program participants.Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with the ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and adapt to changing program needs.Basic computer skills for email, scheduling, data entry, and reporting; experience with membership or program management systems is helpful.CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe); relevant wellness or fitness certifications are a plus.Previous experience in a YMCA, community center, or similar nonprofit setting is beneficial but not required.
