The Associate Application Engineer position is vital in providing technical support to our sales team and will partner with design engineering to give design and order support across the organization.\r\nYour Responsibilities\r\nDesign and quote premium solutions for standard and customer-specific thermal heat trace applications.\r\nCoordinate quotation and order entry activities with sales force, engineering, and plant personnel, including sample orders and drawings for approval.\r\nUnderstand markets and competition in each market to manage quotations of competitive designs.\r\nAssist sales engineers with expertise in offering optimal thermal solutions for unique applications.\r\nDetermine materials and related cost requirements for product designs by working with engineering and purchasing departments.\r\nManage pricing and margin targets for crucial accounts and new opportunities.\r\nBecome proficient in using product design and pricing tools.\r\nAssist customers and representatives in troubleshooting common problems with equipment or applications.\r\nApprove and support orders; strategically partner with design engineering and sales to be vital in designing and order support.\r\nLead meetings with engineering, production, project management, finance, and sales to gain visibility and communicate accurate dates to customers for large order opportunities.\r\nAssist in documenting, analyzing, and improving processes.\r\nSupport or facilitate process improvement projects and strategic projects as required.\r\nRequirements\r\nAt least 1+ years of related experience; an appropriate technical degree or equivalent experience is required.\r\nA Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering is preferred.\r\nWorking experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.\r\nAutoCAD and Bluebeam experience preferred but not required.\r\nExperience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with solid organizational skills and attention to detail.\r\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation formats to all audiences.\r\nStrong customer service and time management skills.\r\nAt Chromalox, we are not just an employer but a champion of equal opportunities and inclusivity.
