Assembles and packages accessory parts or other small units using new parts.\r\n1.1Assembles various units, kits, accessory parts, subassemblies, coils, hardware packets, valves, etc. as directed by manager.\r\n1.2Collects parts and prepares for assembly a sufficient quantity of each to complete the number of units specified by the production schedule.\r\n1.3Assembles required units/accessories, following standard assembly procedures and checking continuously for quality.\r\n1.4Performs quality checks on small units per standard procedures and specifications.\r\n1.5Check continuity of valve.\r\n1.6Reads and comprehends blueprints and assembly drawings.\r\nPaints product\r\n2.1Prepares units/piece parts for painting.\r\n2.2Using standard industrial spray paint equipment, applies an even coat of protective paint to units/piece parts.\r\nPackages and prepares units for shipment to customers.\r\n3.1Attaches all identifying labels and serial numbers. (If required)\r\n3.2Boxes finished small units and packs boxes per standard operating procedure.\r\n3.3Records finished goods information on the job sheet.\r\n3.4Uses hand cart/material handling equipment to move finished goods to the line assembly or shipping area and places in proper location.\r\n3.5Packs finished units per operating procedure.\r\nExhibits and performs basic personal computer functions in various software systems, including but not limited to:\r\n4.1Entering inspection production approvals as required.\r\n4.2Entering accurate productivity/efficiency data as required.\r\n4.3Using the business operating system, to check work queues, inventory levels, and other production related tasks.\r\n4.4Using the Horton intranet to access quality information, blueprints, safety information, and other production related information.\r\nReworks units which fail to pass quality control checks.\r\n5.1Disassembles units, which do not meet standards and replaces faulty components or corrects assembly errors.\r\nProvides training in work methods, procedures, and work instructions to employees and temporary workers.\r\nOperates literature copy machines.\r\nPerforms other duties as directed by manager.Qualifications\r\nAssembly Floater Job Qualifications:\r\nHigh school diploma or GED is preferred.\r\nPrevious manufacturing experience is a plus.Must be authorized to work in the United States.
