including electro-mechanical, pneumatic, fluidic, and thermal components\r\nCollaborate cross-functionally with electrical, materials, and consumables teams\r\nDevelop mechanisms for automated reagent and flow cell handling\r\nDesign and implement thermal control systems\r\nLead subsystem integration, verification, and troubleshooting\r\nDrive design reviews and resolve technical trade-offs\r\nManage timelines and technical deliverables\r\nCreate and maintain CAD models, drawings, and specifications\r\nContribute to system architecture and technical strategy\r\nPresent technical updates and engineering decisions to stakeholders\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nPhD + 1 year, OR Master’s + 2 years, OR Bachelor’s + 4 years of relevant experience\r\nStrong expertise in mechanical and electro-mechanical system design\r\nExperience with thermal management and precision temperature control\r\nHands-on experience with fluidics systems (pumps, valves, sensors, tubing)\r\nProficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks)\r\nExperience with manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, 3D printing)\r\nStrong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and chemistry interfaces\r\nHands-on experience with machine shop tools and prototyping technologies\r\nFamiliarity with Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience with simulation tools (CFD, FEA)\r\nBackground in NGS or genomics instrumentation\r\nExperience in regulated product development environments\r\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\r\nAbility to manage multiple priorities effectively\r\nAdditional Information\r\nThis is a fully on-site role in Santa Clara, CA\r\nNo relocation assistance is provided\r\nNo
