The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance across a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform comprehensive diagnostics using specialized tools and equipment to identify the root cause of vehicle malfunctions.\nExecute a wide range of automotive repairs, including but not limited to:\nBrake systems (disc and drum)\nSteering and suspension components\nEngine performance issues (tune-ups, sensor replacement, etc.)\nElectrical systems (diagnostics and repair of wiring, lights, accessories)\nHVAC systems (diagnosis and repair)\nBasic transmission and drivetrain maintenance/repair\nExhaust systems\nConduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and filter replacements.\nAccurately document all repairs, services performed, and parts used on work orders and digital systems.\nCommunicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair recommendations, estimated timelines, and potential additional services needed.\nAdhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.\nContinuously learn and stay updated on new automotive technologies and repair techniques.\nAssist entry-level technicians with complex diagnostics and repairs as needed.\nConduct pre-purchase inspections and provide detailed reports.\nQualifications:\n3-5 years of proven experience as an Auto Repair Technician in a professional shop environment.\nState of Maine Inspection License\nStrong diagnostic skills with proficiency in using scan tools, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.\nSolid understanding of vehicle electrical systems and ability to read wiring diagrams.\nProficient in performing a wide range of mechanical repairs on various makes and models.\nValid driver's license and a clean driving record.\nAbility to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with automotive repair.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\nOwn a basic set of automotive tools.\nIf you are interested in the challenge and reward of joining a fast-paced, employee-owned, Independent repair facility in Mid Coast Maine, now is the time.\nPlease send your letter of inquiry to info@easterntireinc.com with a description of your experience and why helping to lead an employee-owned organization, in this ever-changing environment, meets your career goals.
