In this role, you will design and detail systems, subsystems, and components for both custom-built and standard product lines across aerospace and ground-based applications. Projects may involve mechanical, structural, electronics, and electro‑mechanical systems.\n\nThis position requires expertise in mechanical design practices, knowledge of ASME drawing standards (GD&T), and strong skills in 3D modeling and 2D drafting using tools such as Dassault SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.\n\nAs a member of our team, you will embody and advance our core values: Deploy Faster, Operate with Confidence, and Design with Purpose.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign & Development\n\nCollaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to design systems for aerospace and ground-based platforms.\n\nConvert concepts into production‑ready models and drawings using CAD software.\n\nEnsure all designs meet safety, reliability, and performance standards.\n\nAnalyze and document product performance against requirements.\n\nVerification & Validation\n\nReview and validate the accuracy of drawings and schematics.\n\nProvide redline markups, corrections, and revisions to improve design efficiency.\n\nEnsure documentation is clear, accurate, and fully traceable.\n\nTroubleshooting\n\nPartner with engineering and production teams to diagnose and resolve design and system issues.\n\nUse mechanical drawings and schematics to determine solutions for both mechanical and electronic systems.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of experience. Relevant industry experience may be applied in lieu of degree.\n\nProficiency in 3D parametric design with Dassault SolidWorks (preferred) or Autodesk Inventor.\n\nStrong knowledge of materials properties, components, and hardware.\n\nExperience applying ASME standards and GD&T.\n\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001/AS 9100 standards.\n\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.\n\nStrong documentation skills throughout the design lifecycle.\n\nCapable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.\n\nWhy Join Us\nAt SelectTech, you’ll be part of a team that thrives on innovation and precision engineering.
