BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST

Behavioral Support SpecialistProvides both consultative and direct behavioral and instructional support to students, including those in special education. Collaborates with general and special education staff to implement effective, evidence-based strategies across grade levels. Conducts functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and supports the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs). Trains and coaches staff in behavior management practices and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). Assists in the supervision and evaluation of special education programs. Delivers direct support to students with significant behavioral needs that impact learning and may lead to more restrictive placement. Part-time position - up to 25 hours per week. Core Responsibilities: Assessment & Planning: Conduct FBAs, analyze student behavior, and create individualized BIPs and skill acquisition programs. Staff Training & Support: Provide professional development and coaching to teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators on ABA strategies and positive behavior support. Collaboration: Work closely with IEP teams, parents, and school staff to integrate behavior plans into the classroom and broader school system. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data on student progress to monitor plan effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments. Ethical Practice: Model and ensure adherence to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) ethical guidelines. Key Duties: Support students in crisis. Attend IEP meetings to provide behavioral expertise. Develop resources for positive behavior support. Oversee the implementation of behavior programs. Consult with administrators and staff on creating effective learning environments.
