VP, Retirement Plan Services Mid-Market Sales - Northeast Region
Your opportunityIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.We are looking for a self-motivated professional to pursue new defined contribution plan sales opportunities in the Mid-Market segment ($150MM-$1B). As a Vice President of Sales, this individual will be responsible for prospecting, managing, and winning business in a designated territory and promoting cross-engagement opportunities. This individual will partner with colleagues from other segments and Consultant Relations professionals within their territory to develop relationships with key plan sponsors, investment advisors, and retirement plan consultants.What You Are Good AtIdentify, pursue and sell to retirement plan prospects with an emphasis on Mid-Market ($150m-$1b plans) plansWork within a team structure to identify, develop and maintain relationships with key prospects, advisors, and consultantsDevelop and manage sales opportunity pipelinePlay lead role in managing the sales process for all assigned sales opportunities Provide all required and requested documentation for active sales opportunitiesCollaborate with internal business partners in pursuit of new businessCoach and mentor selling team members for optimum presentation and sales effectivenessNegotiate services with consultants and plan sponsors Understand and communicate the breadth of Schwab servicesIdentify leads for other Schwab business lines (i.e. Stock Plan Services)Achieve monthly territory development activity goals Maintain current and accurate data in SalesforceProvide timely updates to Sales management and Retirement Plan Services leadership upon requestThis position is eligible for remote work but should reside within the territory (Northeast Region).What you haveBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; may have postgraduate and/or certification Series 7 and 63 licenses (Can be obtained through a condition of employment).A passion for Schwab’s mission of helping every client and participant achieve their financial goalsSelf-motivated, enthusiastic individual who demonstrates a high degree of personal integrity, resilience, and professional growthExhibits professionalism, confidence, accountability, and respect for others with each interactionClient service focus and a track record of exceeding client expectationsExcellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills Competence leveraging technology to interact and present virtuallyAbility to position services and develop creative solutions to positively influence decision-making and outcomesCapacity to develop relationships and influence individuals at all levels within an organization, from entry-level to senior executives.
