Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, licensed Veterinary Technician to join the team at Hope Veterinary Group, a full-service veterinary hospital located on Hope Street in Stamford, Connecticut. As a Licensed Vet Tech, you will work alongside an experienced team — assisting with surgical procedures, coordinating patient care, monitoring recoveries, and helping ensure the health and well-being of every pet we see. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional animal care in a warm, community-focused environment, we'd love to meet you.ResponsibilitiesPerform physical examinations and triage patients upon arrivalObtain thorough patient histories from pet ownersCollect and process diagnostic samples including blood, urine, and cytologyAdminister medications, vaccines, and fluids via IV, SQ, and IM routesInduce and monitor anesthesia during surgical and dental proceduresAssist veterinarians with surgeries, treatments, and advanced proceduresOperate and interpret diagnostic equipment including digital radiography and ultrasoundPerform dental cleanings and assist with oral health proceduresMonitor and manage patient recovery post-anesthesia and post-surgeryMaintain accurate medical records in practice management softwareEducate clients on treatment plans, medications, and at-home care instructionsEnsure proper handling, restraint, and comfort of all patientsMaintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical environmentQualifications.Active Veterinary Technician license (LVT, CVT, or RVT) requiredPrevious clinical experience as a licensed technician preferredBenefits/PerksFlexible SchedulingCareer Advancement OpportunitiesCompetitive CompensationEmployee discountsFun Working EnvironmentPaid Continuing Education (CE)
