Your success is our success.\nDescription\nJOB SUMMARY:\nPerforms a number of assembly duties to prepare a variety of standard composite parts in accordance with shop orders, oral and written instructions and blueprints.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nBonds and assembles composite parts with components using blueprints and assembly tools with the use of fasteners, screws and liquid adhesive.\nUses standard methods for bonding basic components to composite parts.\nEnsures composite assemblies meet bonding cure specifications.\nPrepares composite surfaces by filling and sanding to a smooth surface.\nResponsible for ensuring finished assemblies meet quality specifications and requirements including performing some functional tests.\nUses small hand tools, sanders, drills, routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments.\nResponsible only for own work.\nPerforms other related duties as required.\nQualifications\nEDUCATION:\nMust have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification and Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class is preferred.\nEXPERIENCE:\n6 months of composites experience required.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nSomewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids.
