Our residential program helps young families build the skills, confidence, and community connections they need to create a stronger future. We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a compassionate, strengths-based residential program where your clinical judgment, leadership, and advocacy can help young mothers build the skills and confidence to support themselves and their children and help break cycles of poverty, abuse, and homelessness. Responsibilities:-     Lead individualized, strengths-based case management and service planning that help young mothers achieve housing stability, strengthen parenting skills, and progress toward education, employment, and self-sufficiency.-     Facilitate engaging Life Skills and Parenting groups and connect residents with counseling, community resources, and practical supports for themselves and their children.-     Guide day-to-day program and residential operations, creating a safe, welcoming, and well-supported environment where young families can grow.-   Provide leadership and professional development to interns while collaborating with colleagues, volunteers, and community partners to strengthen services and outcomes.-     Use sound clinical judgment, accurate documentation, and program data to support quality services, accountability, and continuous improvement. Schedule:This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Initially, the Program Manager is expected to work in-person 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. In the future, there is flexibility for one day per week to be remote and/or an alternative work week schedule (e.g. four 10-hour days). Qualifications:REQUIRED:-     Master’s degree in social work required-     Minimum of two years of experience in social services or human services-     Ability to pass both criminal and child abuse/neglect background investigations-     Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability for obtaining auto insurance-     Strong communication, active listening, organization, documentation, and basic Microsoft Office skills-     Demonstrated empathy, cultural competence, flexibility, and ability to build trust with young mothers and their childrenPREFERRED:-     LCSW preferred-     Program management, staff supervision, or intern supervision experience preferred-     Spanish language fluency-   Familiarity with parenting skills, infant care, trauma-informed services, and housing or homelessness services Salary:The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $62,000 depending on candidate’s additional education and/or experience.  Benefits:Second Story offers a competitive benefits package, including paid vacation and sick leave; annual merit-based salary increases for employees in good standing; free health insurance for staff (and reduced rates for family members); a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that covers your individual deductible; low-cost dental and vision insurance; employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance; access to an employee discount program; plus, (after one year of service) enrollment in a Simple-IRA retirement plan with employer matching. Second Story is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
