The ideal candidate has extensive experience with access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection, and low-voltage security infrastructure while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.\n\nEssential Responsibilities\n\nInstall, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic access control systems.\n\nInstall and configure card readers, biometric readers, keypads, electronic door hardware, and door controllers.\n\nInstall, program, and troubleshoot IP and analog CCTV camera systems.\n\nInstall and service intrusion alarm systems, motion detectors, door contacts, and related security devices.\n\nConfigure and troubleshoot network-connected security devices.\n\nPerform system testing, commissioning, and quality assurance to ensure proper operation.\n\nDiagnose and repair hardware, software, and communication issues.\n\nRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and project documentation.\n\nDocument installations, service work, and system configurations accurately.\n\nCommunicate professionally with project managers, customers, and team members.\n\nMaintain compliance with company safety policies and customer site requirements.\n\nTravel to multiple project locations throughout the Houston area and surrounding regions.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nMinimum of 3 years of experience installing and servicing commercial access control and security systems.\n\nExperience with:\n\nAccess control systems\n\nCard readers (Proximity, Smart Card, and Biometric)\n\nElectronic door hardware and locking devices\n\nDoor controllers\n\nCCTV and IP surveillance camera systems\n\nIntrusion alarm systems\n\nLow-voltage cabling and terminations\n\nStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team.\n\nValid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.\n\nAbility to travel between project sites as required.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience working in commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, or data center environments.\n\nKnowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, switches, and network infrastructure.\n\nFamiliarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC installation standards.\n\nManufacturer certifications (LenelS2, Software House CCURE, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Honeywell, or similar) are a plus.\n\nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nLift up to 50 pounds.\n\nWork from ladders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.\n\nBend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.\n\nWork indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.\n\nAbility to pass background screening and drug testing when required for customer sites.\n\nWork Environment\n\nCommercial office buildings\n\nIndustrial facilities\n\nManufacturing plants\n\nData centers\n\nConstruction sites\n\nTravel between project sites is required.\n\nWhy Join NCS?\n\nAt Network Cabling Services (NCS), you'll work alongside experienced professionals on cutting-edge structured cabling and security integration projects.
