The Assistant Controller will manage the Company's revenue accounting function, ensuring the accurate, timely, and appropriate application of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, across Cryo and Electrolyzer revenue streams. This role will be a key partner to Commercial and Operations leadership as we progress towards our path to profitability. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic public company environment while managing one or more direct reports.\nCore Duties and Responsibilities\nGather and analyze customer contracts for revenue recognition over time and on a point-in-time basis under ASC 606 across assigned revenue streams\nMaintain key accounting schedules supporting revenue recognition calculations\nRespond to external auditor inquiries and provide timely delivery of complete, accurate and audit-ready supporting documentation\nManage key tasks and close activities in the monthly and quarterly close cycles (examples include journal entries, account reconciliations, controls, and footnote disclosures)\nSupervise and develop direct reports within the Revenue team\nPartner with the sales and operations team to execute revenue accounting activities\nLeverage Business Intelligence tools to improve close efficiency through standardization, automation and continuous improvement initiatives\nPrepare recurring and ad hoc reports and analysis as defined by the operations leadership team for business needs\nAssist in the development and maintenance of significant accounting policies\nAssist in the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley program, including documentation, testing, and risk assessment\nRepresent the Company in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions\nOther duties as assigned\nEducation and Experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting\nFive (5) or more years of public accounting experience; Big 4 preferred\nTwo (2) or more additional years of experience within a manufacturing company preferred\nProficient understanding of internal control concepts\nDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail\nStrong communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and complex assignments\nAbility to model high standards of professionalism\nSelf-motivated individual with a critical thinking, problem-solving mindset\nDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office software\nPay Rate:\n$86,400.00 - $135,000.00\nWe offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:\n✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
