Failure to do so will disqualify you from employment.\nPOIC + RAHS is a multi-faceted agency that provides wide-ranging services meant to promote stronger attachments between disenfranchised youth, their families, and the wider community. POIC + RAHS supports several school-based programs for students in grades 6-12 located throughout the Portland Metro area. All are accredited schools serving more than 350 youth from Portland Public Schools and East County. All programs include paths to earning a high school diploma and/or a GED. We continue to mentor and support our graduates until they reach the age of stable maturity at age 25.\n*Job Summary:*\nAs the VIP Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing leadership group and individual participant to mentor youth on leadership skills and training students as peer mentors to facilitate workshops at local middle schools. This position is also responsible for supporting individual leadership students at RAHS with support and education intervention services and referrals by performing the following duties:\n*Responsibilities and Duties:*\n\n* Supports students with credit attainment, campus engagement, attendance support, family outreach, and needs assessments.\n\n* Works closely with the Youth Services staff to maintain open and clear communications, to implement and track data collection, and to ensure grant reports and proposals are prepared on time and on budget.\n\n* Supports a caseload of up to 60 RAHS Teen Leaders which includes needs and risk assessments, Individual Success Plans (ISPs) implementation and tracking, resource referral, and recruitment.\n\n* Coordinates program implementation at PPS and East County programming at elementary and middle schools near RAHS campuses.\n\n* Works with students to connect them with POIC+RAHS programs, as needed.\n\n* Collaborates with POIC + RAHS colleagues to measure and report student growth in areas such as credit attainment, school engagement, discipline incidents, and school attendance where applicable.\n\n* Serves as liaison between assigned students, their families, additional support programs, our program and has a thorough knowledge of the theories, methods, techniques of social casework, strength-based interviewing, adolescent development, models professionalism, and servant leadership.\n\n* Meets with each individual student monthly.\n\n* Conducts quarterly ISP updates.\n\n* Responds to all crises and risk incidents within the required time frames.\n\n* Coordinates, tracks, and measures student engagement.\n\n* Adheres to documentation requirements, including but not limited to accurate data entry into student files, ISP’s, weekly/monthly reports, and case notes.\n\n* Monitors grant requirements to ensure contracted goals are met.\n\n* Forms and maintains positive working relationships with community stakeholders.\n\n* Ensures budgetary compliance and submits any required documents or reports on time and complete.\n\n* Weighs in on strategic plans for the department that relate to the future of youth and parent/family involvement programming and community engagement.\n\n* Other duties assigned.\n\n*Personal Requirements:*\n\n* Exhibits good listening and comprehension.\n\n* Selects and uses appropriate communication methods.\n\n* Writes clearly and informatively.\n\n* Varies communication style to meet needs.\n\n* Establishes and maintains effective relationships.\n\n* Offers assistance and support to co-workers.\n\n* Works cooperatively in group situations.\n\n* Works actively to resolve conflicts.\n\n* Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views.\n\n* Contributes to building a positive team spirit.\n\n* Adapts to changes in the work environment.\n\n* Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.\n\n* Maintains objectivity.\n\n* Displays willingness to make decisions.\n\n* Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.\n\n* Includes appropriate people in the decision-making process.\n\n* Balances team and individual responsibilities.\n\n*Qualifications:*\n\n* Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the safety or health of employees or others.
