Travel Management Specialist
Travel Policy Specialist Examines new or proposed travel policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation and assesses impact to the Bureau's travel program, recommending appropriate courses of action for use by GSD leadership in making informed travel policy decisions.Assesses the impact, capabilities, and limitations of the automated systems and procedures and develops creative solutions and workarounds to limitations in travel systems programming in unusual situations as warranted.Assumes responsibility for all administrative and financial tasks related to the travel card to include policy development, issuance, card utilization, billing, and termination.Gathers, evaluates and develops reports on official trips and travel costs; oversees preparation of travel authorizations, requirements for government credit cards, and travel vouchers.Prepares briefing materials for senior management on all travel regulations, policy, and procedures. Reviews Travel Object reports using E 2 Solutions to identify and correct recurring errors based on data analysis.
