UL Compliance Engineer
Job Title: Compliance EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Compliance Engineer to expedite the process of bringing a significant number of products or product variants to market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UL certification processes and robust knowledge in the product certification process. This role involves working closely with Electrical Engineers to test, validate, and obtain necessary certifications for precision DC/DC converters and variable frequency drives (VFDs).ResponsibilitiesLead internal projects to establish and maintain compliance with new or changed product standards.Work with the New Product Introduction process as the lead Compliance Engineer and Subject Matter Expert to ensure new products meet relevant product regulations and certification requirements.Ensure completion of product compliance deliverables, including compliance assessment, design review, certification and test plan creation, documentation, and process implementation for new product development introductions.Collaborate with sourcing and suppliers to ensure the supply chain supports product compliance.Act as a product compliance interface with domestic and third-party certification agencies such as UL, CSA, TUV, and Intertek.Plan and schedule projects of significant and strategic importance to the corporation, including RoHS and REACH.Work with management to assess risk and develop strategies to ensure product compliance.Essential SkillsExtensive knowledge and application of UL Standards (UL 1741, UL508, UL61800-5-1).BS in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with knowledge in engineering and manufacturing principles.5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing/Development Engineering Organization, preferably in an electronics or electrical equipment manufacturing environment.Experience with environmental regulations, product standards, certifications, and conformance agencies.Ability to work on projects from conception to production release.Desired Qualifications:* Previous experience with product stewardship, environmental regulations, product standards, certifications, conformance agencies or functional safety engineering.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $175000.00/yr.Medical, dental & visionCritical Illness, Accident, and Hospital401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions availableLife Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents)Short and long-term disabilityHealth Spending Account (HSA)Transportation benefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramTime Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave)Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Mount Pleasant,WI.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on May 8, 2026.Diversity, Equity & InclusionAt Actalent, diversity and inclusion are a bridge towards the equity and success of our people.
