Senior Design Engineer

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturer in the industrial sector to identify a Senior Design Engineer to join their growing team. This opening is the result of internal promotions and continued business expansion. This role is focused on product engineering and iterative design improvements rather than ground-up new product R&D. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and experience working with appliance or HVAC-related systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the design and development of new and improved product components and systemsDrive product iteration efforts, focusing on performance, cost, and manufacturability improvementsCoordinate and oversee validation, verification, and testing activitiesSupport product launch initiatives, ensuring smooth transition from design to productionCollaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing and quality teams in a high-volume production environmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and combustionExperience with appliance, HVAC, or similar thermal systems preferredExperience with FMEA, test plans, and design validationDesign for Manufacturability experience in high-volume environmentsMaterials selection and component design experienceExposure to manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection molding, machining, casting) is a plusCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $90,000 – $95,000Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) with strong long-term upsideTotal compensation is highly competitive overallCompany HighlightsEstablished industrial manufacturer with ~1,600 employeesHigh-volume production environmentStrong internal growth culture (this role opened due to promotion)
