Our work at Edwards AFB involves managing high-volume, multi-discipline maintenance, repair, and minor construction projects that are critical to the operations at the base.\nAbout the Role\nThe Contract Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the SABER contract, ensuring compliance with federal standards, managing subcontractors, and overseeing project execution teams that managed projects from inception to close-out. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to handle simultaneous task orders (TOs) across a variety of disciplines.\nKey Responsibilities\n· Provide comprehensive contract management, including subcontract purchasing and administration.\n· Review material submittals, shop drawings, and develop detailed cost proposals.\n· Negotiate terms, award, and modify contracts.\n· Manage a team of Project Managers, Quality Control Managers, and Superintendents supporting the contract.\n· Represent DCC in joint Government/Contractor weekly status meetings, negotiations, pre-performance site visits, pre-final, and final inspections.\n· Align site visits, design development, and project timelines with contractual requirements to ensure compliance and maintain CPARS ratings.\n· Manage the team through all phases of construction from inception to closeout to ensure competitive pricing, scope alignment, contractual requirements, and closeout.\n· Ensure compliance with all contract terms, specifications, and federal regulations.\n· Respond promptly to contract-related emergencies (within 1 hour) and routine issues (within 8 hours).\nWhat We Are Looking For\nCandidates must meet the following qualifications:\nRequired:\n· Experience: 10+ years of experience as a primary manager of contracts similar to MILCON, or managing multi-discipline commercial construction projects for a general contracting firm.\n· Strong organizational and project management skills.\n· Proven experience managing subcontractors and vendors.\n· Ability to obtain access to a U.S. military installation (subject to pre-employment background checks).\n· Must be a U.S. citizen.\nPreferred:\n· Familiarity with SABER, JOCC, MACC, or MATOC contracts.\n· Knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Project, and line-item pricing software.\n· Experience with relationship-based contracting and fostering client trust through transparent and reliable operations.\n· Possesses a proactive solutions-based mindset.\nJoin Our Mission\nAt DCC, we unite expertise and innovation to support the essential missions of our federal clients.
