POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT Moss' Fleet Equipment Mechanic's main function is to ensure all equipment and vehicles are in job ready condition. Must be able to troubleshoot issues using Diagnostic Tools and Perform the most economical repairs in a safe and timely manner. The candidate must have the ability to perform preventative maintenance routine and job site on demand equipment down issues and on-site repairs as scheduled by the Solar Equipment Coordinator / Fleet Equipment Manager. Perform key responsibility area's and effectively communicate and coordinate with Asset Management Team members, jobsites, and vendors. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform regular routine preventative maintenance service on Construction EquipmentRespond to service call requests immediately and perform repairs or maintenance as coordinated and scheduled with the Equipment Coordinator / Equipment ManagerCommunicate and trouble-shoot service issues with the Equipment Coordinator / Equipment Manager and collaborate with outsourced service vendors to solve service issuesFollow standard routine review of services performed and take responsibility for completing work orders and using maintenance software confirm equipment is safe, operable and in jobsite ready conditionMust have welding and burning abilityComplete electronic work orders and turn in dailyWork in a safe manner to protect themselves, co-workers, equipment and surrounding property per the Moss Safety Guidelines and PolicyPerform other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum Associates Degree in a Heavy Equipment ProgramMinimum 5 Years Construction Industry ExperienceMaintain DOT physical for driving a commercial service truck. CDL preferred but not required.Knowledge of equipment hydraulic systemsAbility to work on hydraulic and air braking systemsAbility to troubleshoot electrical issuesBasic understanding and diagnostic ability of diesel enginesHydraulic trouble shooting and repairs a must.Certifications or specific training on the following: SafetyBrakes (Hydraulic and Air)Engine (Gas and Diesel)TransmissionsTroubleshootingSuspension SystemsBasic computer skills.) i.e., outlook, word excel)Ability to travel to job sites (FL, GA and/or AR) and overnight stays depending on current residencyAbility to work in outside conditionsSelf-starter and able to work independently with little to no supervisionMust be able to prioritize your workload and daily activitiesJOB TITLE:FLEET EQUIPMENT MECHANIC JOB LOCATION:WEST MEMPHIS, AR - MULTI-STATE REQUIRES HIGH TRAVEL CLASSIFICATION:FULL TIME - EXEMPT - SALARIED REPORTS TO:EQUIPMENT MANAGER Moss is an equal opportunity employer.
