The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and capturing new business opportunities within the DoD and other government sectors, with a deep understanding of the federal acquisition process and a network of contacts across various DoD agencies and industry partners.\n*Key Responsibilities*\nBusiness Development Strategy:\nDevelop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to identify and pursue new opportunities within the DoD market space.\nConduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.\nConduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and identify potential clients and partners\nCapture Management:\nLead capture efforts for opportunities, including developing capture plans, building and managing winning teams comprised of industry partners, and supporting the proposal development process.\nOversee the development of win strategies, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies.\nAnalyze and report on capture activities and results, including metrics such as win rate, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.\nEnsure that all capture activities are compliant with company policies and procedures, and with all relevant laws and regulations.\nDevelop and manage project plans and timelines to ensure that capture activities are completed efficiently and effectively.\nManage and coordinate the capture process, including developing proposals and presentations.\nRelationship Building:\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within government agencies, prime contractors, and industry partners to facilitate business growth and enhance our competitive position.\nRepresent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance our visibility and establish thought leadership in the government contracting community.\nPipeline Management:\nBuild and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, tracking progress and ensuring alignment with company goals and priorities.\nUtilize CRM tools to track and report on business development activities and outcomes.\nDevelop and implement a comprehensive capture strategy to identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the company's goals and objectives.\nCollaboration:\nWork closely with internal teams, including operations, technical, finance, and compliance, to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.\nCoordinate with proposal managers to ensure seamless transition from capture to proposal development.\nCollaborate with the sales and business development teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.\nThought Leadership:\nStay abreast of industry developments and best practices to continuously improve capture management processes.\nMentor and train junior business development staff.\nProvide coaching and guidance to capture team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.\n*Qualifications*\nExperience: 10 - 15 years of experience in business development and capture management within the government contracting industry, with a strong focus on federal markets. Proven experience leading and managing capture teams.\nProven Track Record: Demonstrated success in winning large-scale contracts and driving revenue growth in a competitive environment.\nKnowledge: Deep understanding of the federal acquisition process, including FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.\nNetwork: Established network of contacts within government agencies, prime contractors, and industry partners.\nSkills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
